About Little Caesars Pizza
Little Caesars Pizza, located at 5182 Sonoma Boulevard in Vallejo, California, represents a cornerstone of American pizza culture and fast-casual dining excellence. This establishment is part of a globally recognized pizza chain that has revolutionized the industry through innovative business practices, affordable pricing, and a commitment to convenience that spans over six decades. The Vallejo location brings the legacy of Little Caesars to the local community, offering residents and visitors access to one of the most successful pizza restaurant chains in the United States.
The Legacy Behind the Brand
Little Caesars Pizza was founded on May 8, 1959, by Mike Ilitch and Marian Ilitch, a married couple who invested their $10,000 life savings into opening the first location in Garden City, Michigan.[1] What began as a single family-owned store has evolved into a multinational powerhouse, now ranking as the third largest pizza chain by total sales in the United States, behind only Domino’s and Pizza Hut.[1] The company’s remarkable growth trajectory demonstrates the power of a clear vision: providing families with exceptional value without compromising on quality or service.
The journey from a modest strip mall location to an international empire showcases the Ilitches’ entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen. The couple’s willingness to embrace a carryout-only model—a concept many industry experts initially dismissed as destined to fail—proved to be a transformative decision that fundamentally changed how Americans consume pizza.[3] This forward-thinking approach established the foundation for Little Caesars’ enduring success and continues to influence the company’s operations today.
Innovation and Industry Leadership
Throughout its history, Little Caesars has consistently pioneered innovations that have reshaped the pizza industry. The iconic “Pizza! Pizza!” campaign of the mid-1970s, which introduced a two-for-one pizza offer, drove such unprecedented demand that the company developed specialized conveyor ovens to meet customer needs.[3] The introduction of Crazy Bread transformed breadsticks into a standard pizza accompaniment, while Little Caesars became the first pizzeria to establish a drive-thru service, open a stadium location, and serve lunchtime pizza in minutes.[3]
In 1997, the chain introduced shaker boards to advertise its revolutionary “Hot-N-Ready Pizza” concept—a large pepperoni pizza sold for just $5.[1] This innovation proved so successful that it became a permanent fixture of the business model, fundamentally shifting Little Caesars’ focus toward carryout service and establishing the brand’s reputation for speed and affordability.

On November 4, I placed an order with Door Dash for 3 pizzas and 2 orders of Crazy bread. My order arrived incomplete missing 1 pizza and both orders of breadsticks. I contacted the door dash driver. He said he delivered what he was given. I then contacted Little Ceasars and I spoke to Shayla. She was very polite and took the time to efficiently and professionally explain to me the policy regarding the placement of large orders awaiting pick up via the various delivery services. The driver neglected to remove the additional items from the adjacent warmer portal. I contacted Door Dash and was denied any compensation due to a unfair and unethical policy that places the number of reimbursements over the legitimate order mistakes. I called and spoke to the manager, Shannon. She went above and beyond her duty, choosing humanity and empathy and ethics over financial gain and replaced not only the missing portion of the order but the entire order! It is people like Shannon and Shayla and the crew at the Little Ceasars on Redwood Parkway that remind us that customers are the heart of a business not money.

First I tried to call my order in but the employees literally hung up the phone multiple times. Then when i get to the location to order food. I called to see if maybe they had a phone issue. Nope i watched the person pick up the phone and hang up. Then the staff was rude to me for moving out of the way for another person to walk in the door. Told me to wait outside wich was my intentions to begin with. Very unprofessional very rude I would not come back or suggest this place to a friend

When the employee goes from scratching his head, and back to preparing dough. I think that's a little too far. I love the pizza, but a health inspector needs to visit this place. It looks filthy coming in the front door. The counter tops were dirty, there was hair on the counter, probably more things not up to code in the back too, but I'll still eat the pizza..... Until I get food poisoning.
